When it comes to doing things for charity, fundraising options can range from outrageous comedic stunts to brave and terrifying acts that carry an element of danger. These days fundraisers are looking to more unusual challenges or acts of courage; The days of sponsored silences, 5-a side football and cake sales have been side-lined for more daring activities that capture the imagination.
Since April 2018 the i360 observation tower in Brighton has offered thrill-seekers the opportunity to step outside the security of the pod at the very top and abseil down to the bottom, part of an annual charity event iDrop at the British Airways i360.

The 1st iDrop was a huge success raising over £36,000 for Rockininghorse, a local to Sussex Children's Charity.
This summer the event comes back for a second year. In three weeks time, our very own Sasha Loo is taking on the challenge and has pledged to raise £500 for this amazing cause!

MD of the S Events & newly appointed Director of Events for SixLinks, mum of three, wife, yogi, dare-devil, bargain-hunter, karaoke-fanatic, and globe-trotter.
When the opportunity arose for Sasha to raise money for Rocinghorse, a charity already very close to her heart, she signed herself up straight away. This year they are raising money for the Adolescent Mental Health Unit in Chalkhill Hospital, and simultaneously working to destigmatise talking about mental heath and encouraging people of all ages to sick treatment and help should they need it.
Sasha and the rest of the fundraisers will be stepping outside of the pod at 450ft on the 21st of June at BA i360, so if you find yourselves in the Brighton area, come along to cheer them on!
You can donate to Sasha's Charity iDrop for the Rockinghorse here please give generously.
